The VERSANT® kPCR system provides the necessary flexibility to meet the emerging challenges in molecular biology testing.

It consists of two modules:

• The sample preparation unit (VERSANT sp, sample preparation)
• The amplification and detection platform (VERSANT A/D)

The sample preparation unit enables the extraction of DNA and/or RNA directly from the primary tube, for quantification in various environments. Siemens-Healthineers has developed an extraction technology that utilizes magnetic microparticles coated with a thin layer of silica.

The thermocycler, connected to the sample preparer via computer, enables the amplification and detection of kinetics during different PCR cycles, ensuring real-time monitoring.
